The Peluso P-12 Tube Microphone is styled after one of history's finest microphones, AKG's legendary C 12.  Produced from 1953 to 1963, it was one of the first condenser microphones to provide remote switching between nine polar patterns. The dual blackplate of the 34mm edge-terminated CK12 (CEK12) capsule enabled this advancement.

The heart of its amplifier stage is the warm and quiet 6072A glass triode vacuum tube. The amplifier circuitry and output transformer of the Peluso P12 microphone has been designed to match the vintage C 12. Carefully selected components, thorough testing, and attention to detail all come together in this beautiful full-bodied classic tube microphone. The Peluso P12 faithfully reproduces the clarity, openness, and top-end air that made the C 12 one of the world's finest vocal microphones!

The P-12 is paired with the Peluso MX56 power supply. The dual sided capsule in the P-12 enables the power supply to provide 9 polar patterns in an array from omni-directional to cardioid to figure eight.

The Peluso P12 features our heavy-duty 8-pin screw on cable connector. The large diameter pins in the screw on connector give a tight and secure cable connection designed to perform for a lifetime of use.

Acoustically matched pairs available upon special request.

The microphone kit comes as a complete system including: P-12 Microphone in a Wood Box, MX-56 Power Supply, New-style 8-Pin Screw on Cable Assembly, and a Shock Mount all packed in a Flight Case.

'We are fortunate enough to have used vintage AKG valve condenser microphones on many occasions, so the P-12 sounded very familiar immediately. The sonic characteristics we were hoping for were a bright and tinselly treble, smooth but present mids and a full but not overblown bottom end. We're happy to say that the Peluso P-12 didn't disappoint in any of these areas.'
